General Information
Nicotinell Nicotine Lozenges are designed to assist individuals in quitting smoking. These lozenges provide a gradual way to wean off nicotine over several months. By replacing the nicotine typically obtained from cigarettes, they help manage withdrawal symptoms and reduce the urge to smoke. This method falls under Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), allowing users to break free from the physical addiction to nicotine.
These lozenges release nicotine slowly, which is absorbed through the mouth's lining, helping to alleviate withdrawal symptoms such as irritability, anxiety, restlessness, and increased appetite. Unlike cigarettes, Nicotinell Nicotine Lozenges do not contain harmful tar or carbon monoxide.
For optimal results, it is recommended to combine the use of these lozenges with a behavioral support program. The 2 mg lozenges are suitable for smokers who light their first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking, while the 4 mg lozenges are intended for those who smoke within 30 minutes of waking.
