Directions for Use
Specimen Collection and Preparation:
Collect the urine specimen in a clean and dry container. Urine samples can be collected at any time of day.
How to Use:
- Allow the test cassette, urine specimen, and/or controls to reach room temperature prior to testing.
- Place the test cassette on a clean, level surface.
- Remove the cap from the end of the test card. Immerse the strips of the test card vertically in the urine specimen for at least 10-15 seconds, with the arrows pointing toward the specimen.
- Ensure no air bubbles are trapped in the specimen well. Place the cassette on a non-absorbent flat surface, start the timer, and wait for the red line(s) to appear. Read the results at 5 minutes; do not interpret results after 10 minutes.
Interpretation of Results:
- Negative: Two lines appear. One red line in the control region (C) and one in the test region (T). This indicates drug concentration is below the detectable level.
- Positive: One red line appears in the control region (C) with no line in the test region (T). This indicates drug concentration is above the detectable level.
- Invalid: Control line fails to appear. This may be due to insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques. Review the procedure and repeat the test with a new test cassette. If issues persist, discontinue use and contact the supplier.
Storage & Warnings
Store at temperatures between 2 - 30 degrees Celsius.
Warnings:
- Adulterants such as bleach or alum in urine specimens may lead to inaccurate results.
- A positive result indicates the presence of the drug or its metabolites but does not specify the level of intoxication, route of administration, or concentration in urine.
- A negative result does not necessarily indicate that urine is drug-free.
- Negative results can occur when a drug is present but below the cut-off level of the test.
- The test does not differentiate between drugs of abuse and certain medications.
