General Information

The CICA-CARE Silicone Gel Sheet is designed to prevent, soften, flatten, and fade both old and new red and raised scars. It is effective for managing hypertrophic and keloid scars and can be used once the wound has fully healed. Suitable for various types of scars, including those from surgical procedures and accidental injuries, it measures 3cm x 12cm and comes in a box containing one sheet.

  • Effective for treating scars, even those up to 30 years old.
  • Helps improve confidence by addressing the psychological impact of scarring.
  • Self-adhesive, easy to cut, and simple to remove.
  • Soft, comfortable, and flexible for use on various body areas.
  • Washable and reusable on the same person.

Ingredients

Active Ingredient: Silicone

Directions for Use

  1. Wash hands before and after use.
  2. Gently clean the scar and surrounding skin with mild soap and rinse with clean warm water. Thoroughly dry the area.
  3. Peel the lid from the tray and remove the CICA-CARE Gel Sheet while keeping the printed plastic sheet attached.
  4. For small scars, cut the gel sheet to fit, allowing a slight overlap on the surrounding skin. For larger scars, use multiple sheets side by side.
  5. Remove the printed plastic sheet.
  6. Apply the gel sheet adhesive side to the scar, without stretching. It can also be held in place with a light elastic bandage or tape. Avoid applying too tightly to prevent irritation. Dispose of hygienically after use.

Storage & Warnings

Do not use on open wounds or skin affected by dermatological conditions. Ensure the surrounding skin is normal and the wound is fully healed before application. A rash may occur in some patients, which could be due to poor hygiene or excessive tightness of the sheet. If rash appears, reduce application time to 12 hours followed by 12 hours of rest. If the rash persists, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Use only after sutures have been removed and the surgical site is fully healed. It is not recommended for young children unless used with a secondary retention dressing. Avoid using ointments or creams underneath the gel sheet. Discontinue use and seek medical advice if any signs of irritation, maceration, hypergranulation, or allergic reactions occur.
