The SANDO unbreakable handle sledge hammer was developed in 1975 to withstand the rigorous hard rock mining conditions in South Africa. Since then the SANDO brand has expanded to include a range of unbreakable striking tools that have sold in excess of 6 million units worldwide.
The handle is made of a series of high tensile spring steel rods around which is moulded, under a high compression factor, very strong and abrasive-resistant rubber. The hammer heads are also vulcanised to the rubber handle during this moulding operation and are secured to the spring steel rods by a positive locking plate. This results in an extremely durable and ergonomic handle that will not separate from the hammer head: the ultimate in safety and reliability.

- The handle consists of a core of high tensile steel rods that are moulded in abrasive-resistant rubber making it unbreakable with outstanding durability.

- The hammer head conforms to ASME/ANSI, BS876 & ISO15601 specifications and the faces are induction hardened to 50-58 HRC.

Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive an item that is damaged or defective, we will provide a prepaid shipping label for you to return the product. Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange this.
Non-Damaged Returns
If you wish to return an item for any reason other than damage or defect, you will be responsible for all return shipping costs. The item must be returned within 30 days of receipt, unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging. Returns without original packaging may be refused.
Restocking Fees
Items returned due to buyer’s remorse, incorrect purchase, or changes in preferences (e.g., no longer wanted/needed, found a better price) may incur a restocking fee of up to 20%. This fee also applies to non-warranty returns.
Return Timeframe
- Electronics: Must be returned within 15 days of the delivery date.
- All other items: Must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.

Return Authorization
Before returning any item, you must submit a return request and receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Items sent without an RMA number will not be accepted.
Non-Returnable Items

To ensure fast delivery, we may use various suppliers across Australia, including well-known retailers.
Shipping Damage
If your item arrives damaged due to shipping, please refuse delivery if possible and contact us immediately. If you cannot refuse delivery, retain all packaging materials and notify us so we can process an RMA.
Altered or Incomplete Returns
Items that are altered, modified, missing parts, or not in their original condition may not be eligible for a refund. Please ensure all components are included before returning your item.
Prepaid Shipping Labels
When we provide a prepaid label, you must drop off the item or schedule a pick-up with the carrier within 7 days of receiving the label.
Refund Processing
We will typically issue a refund once the returned item is in transit with the carrier. However, please allow up to 15 days from the shipping date for the return to be processed and your refund to be issued.
Supplier-Specific Returns
Since we work with multiple suppliers, each may have their own return procedures and timelines. We will coordinate with the appropriate supplier to handle your return in a timely manner.
