MOVICOL is a combination of macrogol 3350 and electrolytes. Macrogol is a high molecular weight polymer that is non-toxic and pharmacologically inert, remaining largely unabsorbed. It draws and retains water in the bowel, aiding in effective stool softening. The electrolytes present in MOVICOL help prevent electrolyte imbalance and dehydration.

MOVICOL provides a four-fold action:

  • Hydrates and bulks
  • Softens
  • Stimulates natural bowel movement
  • Lubricates the stool

MOVICOL is free from lactose, gluten, and sucrose, making it suitable for those with dietary restrictions.

Indications include:

  • Effective relief from constipation
  • Treatment of chronic constipation
  • Management of medically diagnosed fecal impaction

Sodium bicarbonate 178.5 mg
Sodium chloride 350.7 mg
Potassium chloride 46.6 mg

Usage instructions

* Open the sachet and pour the contents into a glass.
* Add 125 mL of water into the glass.
* Stir well until the powder is fully dissolved and the MOVICOL Lemon-Lime solution is clear or slightly hazy, then drink it. You may add a flavoring like orange cordial if desired.

Warnings

Do not use MOVICOL Lemon-Lime if your doctor has advised against it for any of the following reasons:

  • Paralysis of the bowel
